Jefferson City, Mo. — The Missouri Community College Association (MCCA) held the 2025 Health Sciences Conference on September 19 at State Fair Community College (SFCC) in Sedalia, bringing together more than 50 health sciences educators from across the state to discuss strategies to strengthen Missouri’s healthcare workforce.

Throughout the day, sessions discussed integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into health sciences education, unique factors shaping today’s students, practical steps for dealing with incivility in the healthcare workplace, and various other relevant topics.

“This year’s conference was all about the practical solutions we can implement immediately,” said MCCA President and CEO Brian Millner. “From AI and teaching and clinical settings, to the changing needs of students and teams providing care, Missouri’s community colleges are all-in together to develop a stronger healthcare workforce.”

MCCA offered special thanks to Allison Brosch, SFCC’s Dean of Health Sciences, for programming an engaging agenda and welcoming attendees to campus. The MCCA Health Sciences Conference is sponsored by Central Methodist University and the Missouri Hospital Association.
